PGPNotes Control

The PGPNotes Control implements the passphrase caching feature in PGPNotes. Without the PGPNotes Control, you will be prompt to enter your PGP passphrase everytime you encrypt or decrypt a message using PGPNotes. PGPNotes Control caches the passphrase in memory for some minutes of inactivity before prompting you for the passphrase again. PGPNotes Control also allows you to enter configuration information for PGPNotes. It can be hidden to the system tray area as a small icon. A popup menu containing all its functions will appear when you right-click on the system tray icon.

  • All the functions of PGPNotes Control can be invoked through the buttons in the main window. In addition, you can configure PGPNotes Control to start with Windows automatically.
  • You can also access all the functions of PGPNotes Control by right-clicking on the system tray icon.
  • You may change the cache passphrase interval through Options....

You may also clear the cached passphrase immediately through Clear cached passphrase.
  • If you are using PGPNotes for GnuPG, you need to specify the path of the GnuPG executable (gpg2.exe).
