Upgrade KeyPass
If you are already a registered owner of KeyPass and wish to upgrade to the latest version, there are three ways you could do so.
If you have previously installed KeyPass on your harddisk:
 Download the installer EXE for the latest version of KeyPass.
Exit KeyPass on your PC.
Install the latest version of KeyPass in the same directory.
If you are running the portable ZIP version of KeyPass:
Download the update ZIP package for the latest version of KeyPass.
Exit KeyPass on your PC.
Overwrite existing files in the installation directory with those in the ZIP archive.
If you are running the portable U3 version of KeyPass:
Download the U3P package for the latest version of KeyPass.
Exit KeyPass on your PC.
Use LaunchPad's "Add Programs" function to install the U3P package that you have just downloaded.
Important notes:
To check which version of KeyPass you are currently using, click on "Help|About" in the KeyPass window.
Always perform a backup of the database (using the "Backup now!" function) before performing any upgrades.
If you are upgrading to Windows Vista, the easiest way is to use the "Backup now!" function to backup the database to a certain folder (specify under Preferences, AutoBackup) using your existing installation. Then install a fresh copy of KeyPass under Vista and use the "Restore backup..." function to restore the database (remember to specify the location of the backup folder first).
